Fleet used to have a colonoscopy Prep Kit that included caster oil, bisacodyl tablets, and a two quart bag enema. It was the first prep kit I ever had to use - some 30 years ago. From my Google search, it looks like it is no longer sold. (Would be curious if anyone knows why. The phospho-soda version has been recalled due to kidney damage.) This is such a delightfully powerful combination that I used "make myself take it" even with no colonoscopy scheduled ! Much masochistic (or sadistic) FUN !
Since the taste is rather nasty, for this form of "fun", drinking 1/2 > full bottle is delightfully unpleasant, and as others have pointed out, unless you choose to vomit it up, once you've drunk it, you get to live with knowing the gut wrenching thing you've done to yourself - sometime in the next six to twelve hours. Ah, gut gurgling anticipation.
Then, as I recall after 4 hours, you were supposed to take FOUR bisacoodyl tablets, and, of course, lots of fluids. This combination is QUITE powerful.
Then, the next morning while you're writhing with cramps and blowing your bowels out, you're suppose to take a high volume castile soap enema ! YES, this does really clean one OUT, and if you enjoy an extreme intestinal experience (which of course I very much DO) this can be quite a workout - for you, your partner, or, preferably, BOTH.
I haven't done it for several years now, so this question has definitely inspired me to again rise to the challenge. 😁
Have FUN ! 😜
