If I am fortunate enough to convince my wife to give me an enema (nowadays she absolutely refuses to), I always get her to use a bulb. (At least I have in the past.) My reasons are two-fold: a) When she's in the groove (and she's actually damn good at it), I really enjoy the sensation of the insertion, and the removal of the large nozzle; the sliding in and sliding out. And, of course, as the bulb I have only holds 8 ounces, many refills and reinsertions are required. and b) I have found, for me, that the interruption of the insertion flow actually makes the insertion more effective, because the intestines seem to take the time between bulbfuls to redistribute the water. In these cases I 'take' in the knee-chest position; which, if she Was interested, should give her the 'best' view (she thinks it is disgusting), and I find that in that position I can take the most liquid. But, as I have to 'take care of myself'; these things are only a fond memory.
Good Luck, Anne; I think that you would really enjoy it.
