At least one of my sisters were in the room when I was being examined for my early puberty. In all fairness I watched them being examined too when ever they were getting physicals. None of us had to wait in the waiting room while the others were nude.

I can remember going with my sister to the pediatrician's office to have our yearly physical. My sister was 5 years older me and in the same room until I was around 13/14. When I was younger it did not matter but I hated it as I got older being in the same room. Sometime, besides being with my sister my parents friend's daughter also 5 years oldr would join us for her exam. The office's policy was to exam the boys before their sisters. The time would come and the nurse would call us back to the exam room. My mom and sister would sit down and the nurse would tell to strip down to my underware. The nurse would leave while I undress and returned to check weight, weight and blood pressure. I would wait on the exam table my mom and sister sitting on each side of table. Each year I became more embrassed just sitting in front them in my underware. The doctor would come in ask me questions while he got ready to start the exam. He feel all over and take a quick peak in my shorts. While sitting up he examed my: eyes,nose,throat, neck, heart and breathing. Now laying on my back he would feel palpated my chest and stomach and pulled my underware back exposing my penis and testicles. My sister had a great view from her chair. He would check my penis and forskin making sure it retracted then moved each examed testical. Finally I had to hop, jump,and get dressed and wait in the waiting for my mom and sister to get done with her exam.

I should have said this before the doctor was an retired Army doctor with a bad bedside manner. I had many male friends who were in same situation with older sisters in the same room which none like as we got older. A friend's mom told him about her son's dislike and lack of privacy and being examined in front of his sister. His favorite response was that your daughter saw him as a baby and helped change the diaper. Never had an exam with a sister, but did have several exams with my brother in the room.

The only time I can recall my younger sister being present during one of my exams growing up was when I was 14 and she was 9 at the time. I recall my mother could not find anyone to take care of her that day so she came along and sat in the room and watched me get my exam. I was not too happy about it but I dared not voice my opinion for fear of getting in trouble for it.

We never were in the same room, but I vividly remember after having a very thorough physical in front of my sisters' babysitter, and my twin sisters' ( 4 years younger), being brought in afterwards for their physical. My main memory is the doctor having them strip to their underpants....

To make it more practical for getting us there and looking after us, my parents would take us as a "job lot"

We would have to strip to our pants. The doctor pulled down his pants and checked his scrotum and pulled his foreskin back. I was 11 and my brother was 12 when the practice ended. My brother was getting his foreskin checked and he got an erection. My parents thought it better if we went separately in future.

My younger sister watched me get inspected by my Mom when we were at home, does that count?

My hot half sister was in the room when I was 12. The doctor did the abdomen exam to me then pulled my underpants down. I got a huge erection and she smiled at me. On the flip side I watched her physical done and she was 14. The doctor removed her bra to listen to her heart. And then the doctor pulled her pants down after the abdomen exam.

My sister and I were examined in the same room until I was 10 and she was 8. I would go first, undressed to underpants which came down as I was lying on the table for gential and visual anal checks. She followed.

The exam room at our pediatricians office had sliding doors which were kept open until the doctor came in to examine us, so it was not unusual to see boys and girls in their underwear or undressing. Modesty and privacy weren't for children in the 60's and early 70's.

i have heard this being done to boys and not girls for obvious modesty and ethical reasons.

With just my one sister and being five years older, she accompanied my mother during my exams for many years. Rectal temps and naked throughout exam. No problem.

I dont have a sister, and if I did I would want her out. Of course I would want to be in on hers ;)

I have read also some relations of physicals in which a boy is examined with his sister present in the room and generally the mother but the reverse is not so common.

So it not only to reduce the cost of the examination of two children in front of a doctor or because they are twins which would be more logical.

What is surprising is that none the doctor nor the mother seems to consider that an older sister or a younger sister cannot stay in the exam room during the examination of her brother younger or older if it is performed in the nude or partly in the nude because it is embarrassing for him, while they said to the boy to go out of the exam room and to wait in the hallway when it is the time of the sister examination.

Nobody seems surprised by this behaviour and this disrespect of the modesty of boys.

of course, it is also depending on the age of the children, under 10 age, I don't think that it is a big issue, after it depends on teenagers and if they were prudisch at home.

I am interesting by the opinion of doctors or mothers.

I can remember having exams with my older sister back when I was 8-10, which would have put my sister 3 years older. It was back in the 70's at the pediatrician's office. Can vividly remember that we were naked during these. Can't say that genital exams were done or anything like that. Another thing I can't remember is if she had a rectal temperature as that I DO remember having! After the one at 10, we stopped going except for an illness once or twice.

In the US we call this "double-booking" its often done for accounting purposes and giving the parents a financial break - two for the price of one so to speak. Likewise its traditional for twins to share an appointment

Gee I had always wished for an older sister! Well as an only child any other sibling would have been great!

Willy, this happened to me several times growing up, both at the doctors and at home. I have talked to a couple of other guys that it happened to also. Very embarassing.

I have read a few stories on various boards of double standards where mums or doctors have allow a sister to be present during her brothers physical exam but not the other way round. How many of these stories are true through is a different story still I find these stories enjoyable has this ever happen to anyone or have you heard of this happening to anyone.
