I would like to know if taking enemas on a daily basis is good hygiene-I do it on a daily basis and I fee great.
It is good that you feel so well, but there are other sane ways to feel good also. Like exercising on a daily basis, eating right, having quiet time sometime during your day. Line up 10 experts in the field and you will more than likely get 10 different answers to your question, which is a good one and often asked. I have heard that there is a chance that daily enemas can make you quite dependent on them. Not for me, but if it works for you all the power to you. Good luck.
Not a normal event here in the UK. Never had, nor endured one, in my 83 years.
My second wife (35 years marriage) had a lot of stomach operations, and absolutely hated having to undergo one, and cried, when it became necessary for her to have one coming up on the calendar.
She told me on many occasions just how painful she found them to be.
I do two sessions a week (sometimes three when I really can't wait), mainly because it is a matter of time. When I have to rush, it is not fun. When I need a quick cleansing for what reason ever, I might do this, but normally I want to enjoy and take my time.
i dont know if its good or not ..but i do know i want them and if possible i want them on a daily basis. or as much as possible
I have been taking daily enemas for years now - mainly because of IBS which has been my nemesis most of my life. Bearing in mind that I'm one of those unfortunate souls who can very easily get electrolyte imbalance, I can nevertheless honestly declare that daily enemas have been my salvation.
No more IBS, I can take a "normal" dump if I have to without complications, and with the addition of regular coffee enemas to my regime (2 to 3 times per week) a few noticeable other improvements as well. Gout and arthritis (I had a moderate case of both) - gone. The skin on my forearms which bear the battle scars of too much sun in my heyday - the spots are mostly cleared up now. Never thought it possible.
And, of course, the feeling of a daily enema is a great start to the day. Bring 'em on!
I have at least 1 enema in the morning and have been doing this for 20 years ... i haven't had any problems with normal bowel movements when there are days that i don't have time for an enema.
I am in the once or twice a week crowd as I am careful of keeping my flora balanced. I always make my enemas isotonic (or nearly so) with a bit of baking soda or salt to help keep my electrolytes balance during a good clean out session.
I have been taking daily enemas for many, many years and as far as my health is concerned - excellent. Look younger than my age, and people say my eyes shine. I believe it is because of my enema habit. If I stop for a couple of days, I always go on my on. Not fun though.... I just don't feel cleaned out.
I am going to be house sitting for two weeks so no going out so will be going for an enema each night for two weeks see what happens.
I take 2 - 3, 2 quart enemas at least 5 times a week. Sometimes daily. I have been doing this for over 55 years. I have not had any ill effects from doing this over the years. I do this for both my health and occasionally orgasms. I enjoy all aspects of enemas and also enjoy giving to others. When I have been in the hospital for a couple of surgeries, I had no problem having a BM without an enema, so I am not dependent on them. I never take laxatives because they are to unpredictable. I am a 66 year old male from Ohio.
Personally I am not sure if taking enemas on a daily basis is a good idea as the bowel will begin to rely on this and not work naturally as it is meant to!
As a fan of large volume, colon tube enemas, it normally takes four days before my bowel perform normally. As of late, I've limited myself to only two or three "clean-out session" per month. The waiting and anticipation seems to make the process even more enjoyable.
I saw a lot of this in the 50's, 60's. Usually women would take 16 oz., or so everyday. Their colon became dependent on the daily enema and a B.M. without one became a real problem. My grandmother did this daily and when she was hospitalized for gall bladder removal, the nursing staff became aware of this. They put her on a "bowel training" regimen to get her back to normal. This worked, but as soon as she came home, she started up again.
My personal opinion is that taking daily enemas specially with an irritant
like soap would cause me to be addicted to them. That being said how bad would it be?
Its not like they are hard to get, illegal or expensive. Personally I think at some point
we will all be taking a daily enema just as often and as routine as we brushing our teeth.
I think society was heading that way in the 50's and 60's but lots of social change got in the way.
Changes like this usually take a lot of media attention, and obviously the fact is this is
not a subject most people feel comfortable discussing. Therefore it may be a long time
in the future before we see built in enema stations as standard equipment in bath rooms.
I take two or three enemas about 4 times a week. I've been doing this for about 15 yrs. I can't see that I've had any ill effects, plus I really enjoy them.
I do not think daily enema is good for health, peristalsis of intestines or very slow with all the consequences for Healthcare. A.
Who has time for daily enemas? Not me. I do well to get three or four a week. Some weeks none at all.
Lots of different answers. As a medical professional I have always advocated two weekly enemas to my patients, on each occasion a 2.5 quart enema with castile soap, followed by a second 2.5 quart clear water enema. I recommended a Monday and Thursday schedule if possible, the Monday procedure to deal with overindulgences we all make on the weekend and the Thursday procedure to prepare the colon for the same. Almost every patient that followed my suggestion felt much more alive and energetic.
I'm 76 years old and been taking enemas on a daily basis since I was 25, before then took them on a several times a week basis. As a kid my mom gave them to me weekly from a very early age. Mom also took them though not daily. By daily I mean I take an enema of four quarts, (was three quarts at age 25) every day since I was 25 with less than 50 exceptions to this daily routine. The longest exception was in 1994 when I went almost a month with no enemas to determine if what I constantly heard of normal functioning not returning was true. As it turns out after so many years of daily enemas it did take just under two weeks to get back to a normal routine that I kept up for two weeks more with no real issues. So for me at least I figure if I needed to I could if in a hospital or there were some emergency get back to a so-called normal routine. The other exceptions were when there was a local water contamination issue for a few days and several business trips when enemas in a shared hotel room would be awkward. But basically after 51 years of daily enemas whether addicted to them or not I'm healthy and active and feel much better by controlling this function on an early morning daily basis.
I dont think its good to take enemas every day - there are risk for the body can be addicted - and you will not be able to having bm in tne "normal" way
It may be so for some that daily enemas produce dependency. My thought though is that the 'dependency ' in many cases is really the desire to enjoy enema lust. Mine are only two quarts of plain warm water and I have never had a constipation problem when it has been necessary to do without my enema pleasures for up to three weeks. May be different for others.
As I have reported before, 2005 was the start of 5 major gut surgeries. I had Visiting Nurse service for a couple of weeks following each event. Having a birth defect of Mega Colon and then removal of about 20 inches created a need to establish proper elimination protocol.
The nurses established the routine of 3 s/s enemas + 1 Salt/soda every other day. They said that if conditions were such that it couldn't be followed exactly that daily was better than 3 days between.
I have followed that routine since....especially now that my new wife is a Veterinary Nurse and me being an old dog....there you have it.
I don't believe they are. My mom, an RN always told me when I was growing up that taking to many enemas can effect the colon system where you can develop a need to only have a BM with enema assistance. She warned me when she trained me how to give myself enemas to only do them periodically so I would retain normal bowel movements without the need of enemas. Mom was both an RN and Head Teaching Nurse of a major NYC hospital and an expert in enemas...giving and receiving. She trained many hundreds of nurses how to properly administer all kinds of enemas. She knew what she was talking about...
I have been doing it almost every day for about 20 years and have not had a problem. After expelling I feel clean and empty, and it eliminates the need to use a toilet at unscheduled or embarrassing times. It also eliminates any need to sit on the toilet and struggle to push out something that does not want to come out. With an enema, I plug in the nozzle, get filled with water in about 5 minutes, sit on the toilet and read a book while everything comes out nice and easy.
Tried that for a few weeks when younger and found it was not a good idea. The human body is designed for normal bowel movements, but will adjust to the daily enema and it can take a while to return to a normal routine. Daily enemas can also disrupt the intestinal flora leading to serious bowel issues.
Geeze, and I thought I had it bad with my sigmoid removed.
I can't speak for most people who have a more normal digestive system but when I was a little kid I had the majority of my colon removed, after that it was difficult to have a bowel movement. The surgeon finally suggested using a daily enema and from that point on my parents gave me a daily 2 quart enema up until the age of 16. I was unable to have a bowel movement without the enema and started to dislike them because they were more of a necessity. Years later I realized the benefits of enemas from preparing the rectum for anal sex to keeping your digestive system running smoothly. Now I find the enemas highly erotic and often think about going back to giving myself one or more enemas each day but then I think back to when I was dependent on them for a bowel movements and don't know if I want to do it. To help with my digestion I take 3 laxatives every day, Metamucil, Miralax and Colace and take enemas at least once a week. After a session of enemas to prepare for anal sex I will allow my body to have at least one or two bowel movements (which usually takes 3-4 days after being emptied) before I start another session so I don't become dependent on them as when I was a kid. Although maybe later in life I will rethink my position and go back to a daily enema just for the pure fun of it!
I use a shower shot almost daily. Now and then I go for a full filling. The shower shot just cleans out the lower part of my rectum, to get really cleaned out, I fill two, two quart open top bags, linked together and fill myself. I usually do two clean out enemas of 2 quarts, then one of 3 or more quarts. After emptying all that out, I then for for more water in me and get as much water in me as I can hold.
If it feels good, DO IT!
I will miss my daily enema because I visited a professional hydrotherapist. The session was magnificent and I felt elation afterward. The water reached my cecum and the therapist has magic hands that messaged my whole colon. I would go on the machine daily if I could. However, I satisfied myself with daily enemas and once or twice a week I have a home colonic using my gravity session with a hydrotherapy speculum. The home system works very well, but the professional session works fantastically! I have done daily enemas sell over thirty years and if that comprises a habit or lay colon etc. I'm glad to have the affliction because I'm now over 70 years old and attribute my excellent health to the use of all of those enemas and colonics to keep my whole colon clean.
Try it, you'll like it. An enema a day keeps the doctor away!
I often take a warm soapy enema before going to bed, it helps reduce stress, and of course masturbate at the same time to really feel relaxed and ensure a restful sleep
