Odd experience at every other year exam

Hi. My girlfriend recently relayed to me how her OB/GYN doctor performs her exam on certain years. She said that on the 'main' year, she disrobes full and puts on a gown. The doctor then performs the standard items including breast exam, abdominal and back ascultation and palpation, ear nose and throat check, etc before performing the pelvic, bi-manual and recto-vaginal exams. During the breast exam, he is actually very concerned for her modesty; undraping only one breast at a time and immediately re-covering her.

THe odd thing is this: on every 'other' year, or what she calls 'secondary' years, the doctor only has her disrobe from the waist down and has her cover herself with a paper sheet. He then reaches into her blouse and into her bra and does a sort of partial breast exam i guess? Does this happen to anyone else? H doesnt unbutton anything, apparently my girlfriend's tops are low-cut enough to perform this maneuver, which i have now done about 100 times since she's told me! >😄
