Seriousman, I read all of your other posts and was getting ready to comment as to why some others "schooled" you. I think you are a fantastic member here and I am glad you are here. A lot of people would have been mad and left and what not but you read it and understood exactly what they were saying and why. I can't even begin to tell you how impressed I am with your maturity. Thank you so much for that. I also respect you because of how you handled yourself the last week or so. You Rock!
Now, to answer your question Seriousman. I came here almost 8 years ago now. I came from another site called UKGyn that is also a medical fetish site. It was getting really stale and not many were posting and it would be days between a new post. So a friend of mine directed me here. At the tail end of the other site and at the very start of me coming here I met my Doc. I am a real nurse, he is a real doctor, we are both kinky as hell, we fuck like rabbits all day and all night, and as of Jan 9th, we have been together for 8 years. We love each other more and more each day, but that's another story.
Originally I came here because while I am a real nurse I didn't understand fully what medical kink was. It had only been maybe 4-5 months that I even knew my feelings had a name and that I wasn't alone. So I came here to learn. I needed to learn almost everything. Growing up in an Amish community I was not exposed to anything growing up. Even after I got married I still led a very sheltered life and wasn't ever exposed to anything like this.
So as a professional nurse I had the skill set to do everything, but as we have well established in this site, work is work and play is play and they never mix. I specialize in patients with vents and trachs, also people in rehab. So I am a very no nonsense type of a nurse because if I wasn't then my patients would either die or they would never recover enough to leave and go home. But being a no nonsense nurse wasn't what most people were looking for, or so I thought, lol.
I can't even begin to tell you how much I have learned here over the 8 years. Everything from my fetish and all it entails to things I had never heard of or had ever imagined like adult babies. I have probably read just about every single post on here and continue to do so almost on a daily basis still. I am still learning every single day, and I have a ton still left to learn, I will never know it all and I'm happy that I will always be able to learn something.
After about 4 months I was asked to be a moderator here. I really didn't feel qualified to do so as I was such a newbie. After giving it some thought I remembered one of the first and most important things we learned in nursing school, that it was our duty to teach others. So I decided to take the job so that even though I was and am still learning qd that I had something I could contribute here. So that is what I try to do. That is why I am here. Besides that, I have some really good friends here, so this is my version of my "Bridge Club". LOL.
