Recent physical exam

Hi all,

So just thought I would share my most recent physical exam from yesterday. I was quite nervous when I was called in and could not get my heart to calm down, even with lots of deep breaths! Of course, nurse first asked for weight and height. I am still in the morbidly obese category, but working on dropping pounds. Then came time for blood pressure. Knowing it is high and I am on meds, I did my best to stay calm, and it worked somewhat-came out at 134/78, with oxygen saturation of 98%, but a pulse rate of 112. The nurse did comment on my high heart rate!

I was then told to undress completely and put the front top on with the opening on the front. When my doctor came in, he began with basics...ears, throat, etc. He then moved to my back, but only listened in four spots quickly while I took deep breaths. He then asked me to lie down, and my gown opened with my DDD breasts just hanging out there while he listened to my heart hammering! He didn't comment on it in any way. I did ask about the murmur he found several years ago, but he said he couldn't hear anything, so it's very innocent and doesn't need further examination. He then asked me to hold my breath while he listened to my carotids (which he had never done before!). After that, felt for pulses in my feet and abdomen, then moved on to breast and pelvic exam.

Have to say the whole thing had me excited for quite some time...and still does now just thinking about it!
