I've been sedated/anesthetized numerous times.
The first was when I was 4 and I had a tonsillectomy. I don't remember anything before (due to being so little), but I do remember being highly aggressive coming out and nailing my doctor in the happy sacks from kicking so much.
Over the next few years until around 2002, I was given nitrous and bite blocks at the dentist because I bit a lot and was generally a bad patient.
Then, my next sedation was in 2004 when I had a colonoscopy, I can honestly say that I remember nothing except watching the white fluid flow through my IV line.
Next sedation was for an endoscopy in 2004, I remember them placing a mouth prop but that's all I can remember.
Next was for my wisdom teeth in 2007, but that was via pill. I was given a local in the chair (which didn't work, I felt the entire procedure). However, I was high as a kite.
I also had sedation pills when I had an implant tooth inserted which required a screw in my jaw.
Next anesthetic was when I had a spinal tap in 2009, that was a local injection of lidocaine. I had another injection of lido five days later when the spinal tap failed and I had to get a blood patch.
Next sedation was in 2010 when I had another colonoscopy. Don't remember much... Except my tummy growling a ton.
Finally, my most recent was for a spinal tap this January where I was actually sedated. I remember the entire procedure, but I could swear we were doing it on a cloud, flying through the air.
Mind you, I've had all these things, and I'm turning 20 in June.
