My hubby and I were talking about this subject, and he surprised with his analogy. My hubby says the human body is like a fine tuned car. You pop the hood and check the oil frequently, and while your at it, you check the transmission fluid, and water as well. He says you don't wait for the engine lights to come on to check your fluid levels, it called preventative maintenance. First time I have ever been compaired with a car, but it does make sense. If people have regular checkups, problems are caught earlier. Breast cancer, cervical cancer, and colon cancer are killers. If they are detected earlier enough, they are curable. Problem is, when people wait until they have symptoms to be checked, it is usually too late.
