1. That thread (your link) is closed =(
2. Neither the thread, nor judgmental comment, were actually about my inquiry
3. I feel had you really read my post, rather than being so quick to judge (and making an unnecessary rude comment), you would have seen it was someone asking if others had a similar problem. ****Is that not what this forum is for??***
I like to think the folks here have enough sensitivity, a kind of camaraderie through our shared fetishism, to not immediately belittle someone for their awkward questions/subject matter. (And really, is there any other kind here? LOL) I moderated many channels in the IRC days, undernet, dalnet, bondage.net -we always tried to give folks the benefit of the doubt.
Yes it was phrased with humor. More flies with honey than vinegar, so to speak. OF COURSE stealing is wrong, that is made quite clear in the post. I did not ask could someone tell me if this is stealing and is it wrong. I asked if others had similar experiences. Given that I have no other issues with theft or dishonesty in other facets of my life ("or anywhere" Again, my original post not really read). Along with the excitement and near compulsion while waiting in a med facility, this may be a true "-mania" or "fetish."
As a certified group therapist & facilitator, I know one of the best ways we utilize to get clients to open up, especially on an awkward subject, is sharing a story -and humor, being able to laugh at *yourself* (not the problem). Things like "finger-pointing", blaming, name-calling, insulting, belittling, posturing, patronizing, swearing, yelling etc.will not facilitate effective communication.
